25 KW installation for a municipality office in Tamil Nadu, India

Need:

A municipality office in Tamil Nadu decided to generate its own electricity with an objective to be energy self-sufficient and generate some income out of the plant commissioned on its rooftop. With a large vacant concrete rooftop, the location provided an ideal place to generate solar power that could be used to power its building while selling additional power to the grid.

Solution:

CSK was contracted with the work of installation and commissioning the plant. A simple solution with a grid tied model was created and implemented to deliver the plant. Scope of work included mounting the structure to hold the panels, electrical work and labour. A design based approach ensured that the work was completed in a short amount of time and the project was delivered to specifications.

Benefits:

The 25 KW plant delivers adequate capacity to power the office space during the day and the additional power generated is transferred to the grid through a net metering system.

25 KW installation for a leading exporter of leather goods to Europe

Need:

The client has an approved Low Transmission (LT) connection for 112 KW. Due to increased production in the manufacturing unit, the client would occasionally need additional power beyond this capacity thus incurring high penalty. Besides this, the client also has a strong environment friendly policy that required adopting green energy to reduce their carbon foot-print.

Solution:

The client approached CSK for a suitable solution to this problem through solar adoption. With an intent to produce 20 KW of energy utilized through Solar, a 25 KW solar system was installed at the manufacturing unit. Two equal sized inverters with a capacity of 13 KW each were installed to deliver the final output of 20 KW.  A hybrid model of Solar, Genset and Utility was commissioned basis the client’s requirement to deliver a comprehensive solution.

This solution ensured that even when one of the inverters was down due to maintenance or a technical snag, the other one continued to produce adequate energy and deliver uninterrupted power.

Benefit:

The 25 KW solar installation delivers a final required output of over 20 KW, which helps the client reduce electricity bills substantially. An online monitoring system to track production and ensure seamless real-time reporting was also set up.
